Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is a Liberian politician. He is the 24th President of Liberia. He serves as the President of Liberia from the year 2006 to the present. She was the first elected female head in Africa. He completed his education in the United States. He studied at Madison Business College and Harvard University.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was born on 29 October 1938 in Monrovia, Liberia. His father's name was Gola and mother's name was Kru.
She earned a BA degree in Economics from the Economics Institute of the University of Colorado. He surfed by John F. of Harvard University. Studied economics and public policy at the Kennedy School of Government from 1969 to 1971, and achieved a Master of Public Administration.

After completing her studies, Ellen Johnson returned to her native Liberia to work under Sirleaf William Tolbert's administration, where she was appointed as assistant finance minister. Sirleff served as assistant minister in the Torture administration from 1972 to 1973. He resigned after disagreements over government spending. Subsequently, serving from 1979 to April 1980, he was appointed as the Finance Minister a few years later. In 1981, she moved to Nairobi, Kenya to serve as the Vice President of the African Regional Office of Siabank. He resigned from Citibank in 1985 following his participation in the 1985 general election in Liberia.

She went to work for Equator Bank, a subsidiary of HSBC. She was the initial Chair of the Open Society Initiative for 1992 West Africa (OSIWA) and Visiting Professor of Governance at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). In the 2005 general election, Seleaf stood for the presidency as a candidate for the Unity Party. She finished second in the first round of voting behind George Wieh, a former footballer. In the subsequent run-off election, Wirley earned 59% of the vote vs. 40%, although Weah disputed the results. The announcement of the new leader was postponed until further investigation. On 23 November 2005, Sileff was declared the winner of the Liberian election and confirmed as the next president of the country and the first woman to be elected as the president of the African country. It was inaugurated on 16 January 2006. It was attended by several foreign dignitaries, including United States Secretary Condoleezza Rice and First Lady Laura Bush. On 31 October 2010, at the party's national convention, Sirleaf was nominated as the presidential candidate of the Ekta Party.
