Lord Louis Mountbatten was a British politician and naval officer. Lord Mountbatten was born on 25 June 1900 in Frogmore House, Windsor, England as Prince Louis Highness of Prince Battenberg. Lord Mountbatten was the last Viceroy of India (1947) and the first Governor-General of the Independent Indian Union (1947–48).

His father's name was Battenberg Louis and his mother's name was Hesse Victoria. His father was Prince of Battenberg and his mother was also Prince of Battenberg. And his parents had other children. He was the youngest in the family.
Lord Louis Mountbatten died on August 27, 1979 AD (age 79) at the County Sligo, Ireland Provisional Place by Irish Republican Army terrorists by planting a bomb in Mount Baten's boat.
Mountbatten attended the Royal Naval College, Osborne, before entering the Royal Navy in 1916. He attended the closing phase of the First World War at Christ's College, Cambridge in the aftermath of the war. During the interwar period, Mountbatten participated in and succeeded in, his naval career, specializing in naval communications.

Lord Mountbatten served as a midshipman in the Imperial Navy at the time of the First World War. In 1922 Mountbatten accompanied Prince of Wales Edward on a royal tour of India. It was during his visit that he met his future wife Edwina and they married on 18 July 1922. Lord Louis Mountbatten was appointed in 1926 as Assistant Fleet Wireless and Signal Officer of the Mediterranean fleet commanded by Admiral Sir Roger Keys. When World War II broke out, he was appointed commander of an aircraft carrier in 1941 AD in command of the destroyer Cali and the fifth destroyer fleet.

In 1934 Mountbatten was appointed to his first command. He had a new ship destroyer that was to go to Singapore in exchange for an old ship. He successfully brought the old ship back to port in Malta. By 1936 Mountbatten was appointed as a member of the Air Fleet Branch of the Navy Department at Whitehall. After India, Mountbatten served as commander of a cruiser squadron in the Mediterranean fleet from 1948–1950. He then went on to serve as the 1950–52 Fourth Sea Guard in the Naval Department and then returned to the Mediterranean Sea to serve as Commander-in-Chief in the Mediterranean fleet for three years.

Mountbatten served in his last posting as the first sea guard in the shipping department from 1955–59, the same position where his father had been employed nearly forty years earlier. It was the first time in the history of the royal navy that father and son had achieved equal rank. In 1940, Lord Mountbatten invented an army camouflage named "Mountbatten Pink Naval Chemoflavus Pigment". On 20 February 1947, Lord Louis Mountbatten has appointed the last Viceroy of India. Lord Mountbatten became the head of the United Kingdom Defense Staff and President of the Chiefs of Staff Committee in 1959–65 AD.
