Mohammad Iqbal was a famous poet, leader and philosopher of undivided India. His poetry in Urdu and Persian is counted among the best poetry of modern times. Iqbal Masoudi wrote "Tarana-e-Hind" before the independence of India, with the initial words - "Saare jahan se achcha, Hindostan hamara".

Mohammad Iqbal was born on 9 November 1877 in Sialkot, Pajab Province in British India, now Pakistan. His father's name was Sheikh Noor Mohammad and Iqbal's mother's name was Imam Bibi. His father used to work as a tailor. His mother was a wise liberal woman in the family who quietly provided financial help to poor and needy women and mediate the neighbor's disputes.
Mohammad Iqbal died on 21 April 1938 (age 60 years) in Lahore, Punjab, British India (present-day Punjab, Pakistan), a mysterious throat disease.
Iqbal was four years old when he was sent to a mosque to receive instructions to read the Quran. He learned from his teacher Saeed Mir Hasan, the head of a madrasa and professor of Arabic at Scotch Mission College, Sialkot, where he matriculated in 1893. He attained an intermediate level with the Faculty of Arts in 1895. The same year he enrolled. Government College University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, English Literature and Arabic in 1897 and won the Khan Bahaduruddin, FS Jalaluddin Medal, as he did well in Arabic. In 1899, he obtained a Master of Arts degree from the same college and secured the first position in the University of Punjab.
His major compositions are: Asrar-e-Khudi, Rumuz-e-Bekhudi and Bang-e-Dara, which include the patriotic Tarana-e-Hind (we all have good Hindustan). The compositions written by him are mainly in Persian. Iqbal has written only one book in the English language, titled "Six Lectures on the Reconstruction of Religion Thoughts" (Six Lectures Conceiving of Religious Thoughts). The idea of ​​partitioning India and establishing Pakistan was first raised by Iqbal. In 1930, under the leadership of Iqbal, the "Muslim League" raised the demand for partition of India for the first time. Mohammad Iqbal is also known as Allama Iqbal (scholar Iqbal), Mufkir-e-Pakistan (thinker of Pakistan), Shair-e-Mashriq (poet of the East) and Hakim-ul-Ummat (scholar of the Ummah).
