Inauguration of the 7th edition of India Mobile Congress 2023
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 7th edition of India Mobile Congress 2023 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. India Mobile Congress (IMC) is Asia's largest telecom, media and technology forum. It was organized from 27 to 29 October, 2023. The event will act as a platform to highlight India's incredible progress and key factors in telecommunications and technology. This platform provides an opportunity to start-ups to showcase their innovative products and solutions.
Theme of India Mobile Congress 2023
The theme of India Mobile Congress 2023 is ‘Global Digital Innovation’ which aims to strengthen India’s position as a developer, manufacturer and exporter of leading cutting-edge technologies. The three-day conference will highlight technologies like 5G, 6G and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and discuss issues related to the semiconductor industry, green technology, cyber security, etc.
‘100 5-G Use Case Labs’ Initiative
During the event, Prime Minister Modi presented awards to 100 ‘5-G Use Case Labs’ set up in educational institutions across India as part of the ‘100 5-G Labs initiative’. This initiative focuses on developing 5G applications in line with India's unique requirements and global demands.
Launch of Aspire
This year, IMC is launching a startup program – ‘Aspire’. It will foster relationships between startups, investors and established businesses with the aim of catalyzing new entrepreneurial initiatives and collaborations.
IMC 2023 will be attended by over one lakh participants from around 22 countries, including approximately 5000 CEO level delegates, 230 exhibitors, 400 startups and other stakeholders.
