Manohar International Airport is a greenfield airport at Mopa in Pernem taluka of North Goa district in the Indian state of Goa. The airport is developed by GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL), a special purpose vehicle (SPV). It has been built at a cost of ₹ 3,000 crore (US$380 million).

It was expected to be completed by the financial year 2019–2020, but construction was delayed due to the lockdown caused by the COVID 19 pandemic and an order by the Supreme Court of India. Now it is ready in December 2022. Flights will start here from January 2023.

Features of Mopa International Airport-

  • Access to 35 domestic and 18 international airports will increase through Mopa airport.
  • The new airport, which is about 35 km from capital city Panaji, can handle 44 lakh passengers annually. Its capacity can be increased to more than 30 million passengers per year following future expansion plans.
    This airport has been designed after studying sustainable infrastructure.
  • It has facilities like solar power plant, green building, rain water harvesting and recycling along with LED lights on the runway.
  • Such a runway has been prepared at Mopa Airport, where even the world's largest aircraft can land.
  • Travelers will get to see a unique culture of Goa at Mopa Airport.
    Hand-painted tiles have been used extensively in this airport.
  • The food court here is also designed like a cafe in Goa.
  • The new airport is capable of handling larger aircraft such as the Airbus A380. It also has quick exit taxiways and six cross taxiways for quick aircraft movement.
