Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jai Shankar jointly launched the 'Study in India' portal in New Delhi. This portal is a one-stop platform which will ease the education of foreign students in India. Comprehensive information about higher education institutions of India will be available on this portal.
The program, under the aegis of the Ministry of Education (MoE), aims to increase the number of international students in India and promote India as a preferred study destination, providing affordable and quality education at par with global standards. Ambassadors of more than 10 countries and students from Russia, Thailand, Japan, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Kazakhstan and Republic of Korea were present in the event apart from various ministers.

Study in India Portal is a dedicated website that will provide comprehensive information about Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The website will showcase the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral programs in HEIs as well as academic programs covering Indian Knowledge System (IKS) such as Yoga, Ayurveda, classical arts and other courses. The portal will have information about educational facilities, research support and related information available in the institutions. The portal reflects the government's commitment to make India a global hub of education by welcoming students from diverse backgrounds.
