Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022:
The BJP, which has been in power in Gujarat for the last 27 years, has won the biggest victory in 2022 and created a new record, BJP will remain in power in Gujarat in the coming years as well. Which will be its seventh term. BJP has got 156 seats in Gujarat. On the other hand, the Congress had to be satisfied with only 17 seats.
Assembly elections are being held in Gujarat since 1960, but in the electoral history till now, the performance of Congress has never been so bad. AAP has got five seats in Gujarat. And the Samajwadi Party has also won one seat. With this, independent candidates have won three seats.
Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel said that the mandate for the Gujarat Assembly elections is now clear, the people here have made up their mind to continue this development journey of Gujarat which has been going on for two decades. The people here have once again shown unwavering faith in the BJP.
Status of 2017 Assembly Elections:
Talking about the results of the 2017 Gujarat Assembly elections, the BJP won 99 seats and the Congress 77, while two seats went to the BTP and three independent candidates. The majority mark in Gujarat is 92. Before this month's elections, the BJP had 110 MLAs in the House and the Congress 60, as 20 of the Congress's winning MLAs went to the BJP in five years.
