Indian Premier League 2023

The Indian Premier League (IPL), also known as IPL 16, is the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). It is a professional Twenty20 cricket league established in 2007 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). IPL 2023 will start from 31 March, while the final match will be played on 28 May.

The first match is between Dhoni's captaincy Chennai Super Kings and Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans, the final will be played on 26 May. The match will start from Ahmedabad and the thrill of IPL will end at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

IPL 2023 Teams:

The Indian Premier League IPL 2023 consists of 10 teams this year. Gujarat Titians were the champions of the 15th edition of Tata IPL 2022. Tata IPL team list 2023 includes the following teams:

IPL 2023 Group:

The teams of IPL 2023 are divided into two groups namely Group A and Group B. Each team will play 7 home and away games, facing teams from the opposite group twice. Teams in the same group will play against each other once. A total of 70 games will be organized in 12 stadiums across the country.

IPL 2022

In June 2022, the broadcast rights for the 2023 to 2027 season were sold by the BCCI for ₹48,390 crore (US$6.1 billion). The television rights for the Indian subcontinent were sold to Disney, while Viacom18 acquired the digital rights.

IPL 2023 Personnel Changes

In November 2022, Shikhar Dhawan replaced Mayank Agarwal as the captain of Punjab Kings. Anil Kumble was also replaced by Trevor Bayliss as the head coach of the Punjab Kings. In August 2022, Chandrakant Pandit replaced Brendon McCullum as the head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders. Tom Moody was also replaced by Brian Lara as the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The list of retained and released players was released on 15 November 2022. The IPL auction will be held on 23 December 2022 in Kochi.
