Satellite Network Portal Site

Gujarat will get the country's first 'Satellite Network Portal Site' To set up this portal site, the Gujarat government signed an MoU on 19 July 2023 with London-based Oneweb company and the Department of Science and Technology. The portal site aims to provide affordable connectivity to various sectors including Government, providing continuous and secure satellite internet access at affordable rates across the country.

OneWeb Company is setting up two 'Satellite Network Portal Sites' and one of them will be in Mehsana district of Gujarat. This satellite network portal site is starting in Jotana Taluka of Mehsana district. It will provide high speed, low latency and affordable connectivity to government, businesses, consumers, schools and more. The satellite network portal to be set up in Mehsana district is to be launched in 2023, with an investment of over Rs 100 crore in the first phase. Estimated cost is.
