कुछ मुहावरेदार उक्तियों में से एक प्रकार के (जोड़े) शब्द प्रयोग में आते है। ये एक तरह से मुहावर का रूप धारण कर लेते है, अतः इनके शब्दों में तनिक भी हेर-फेर नहीं होना चाहिए। ये मुहावरेदार उक्तियां अभिव्यक्ति के स्वर को और तीक्ष्ण बना देती है। आइये जानते ऐसे ही कुछ अंग्रेजी में प्रयोग होने वाले महत्वपूर्ण वाक्यांश, हिन्दी अर्थ एवं उनका प्रयोग वाक्य में किस प्रकार करते है।
