Fahmida Mirza is a Pakistani woman politician. She was the 18th Speaker of the Sindh National Assembly and the first woman Speaker (Speaker) of Pakistan. Mirza did her schooling from St. Mary's Convent in Hyderabad in 1972. He did his medical graduation and also received an MBBS degree in 1982 from Liaket Medical College in Jamshoro.

Fahmida Mirza was born on 20 December 1956 in Karachi, Pakistan. His father's name was Qazi Abdul Majid Abid.
Mirza did her schooling in 1972 from St. Mary's Convent in Hyderabad. He is a medical graduate and did his MBBS in 1982 from Liaquat Medical College in Jamshedo. He is a farmer and businessman by profession. She was also the Chief Executive of a Karachi-based advertising company and the Chief Executive Officer of Mirza Sugar Mills.

In 1997 Mirza joined the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a PPP candidate from the Constituent Assembly NA-173 (Badin-II) in the 1997 Pakistani general election. She was re-elected to the National Assembly as a candidate for PPP from the Constituent Assembly NA-225 (Badin-II) in the 2002 Pakistani general election. He received 71,537 votes and defeated Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q) candidate Khan Mohammad Halipota. She was re-elected to the National Assembly as a PPP candidate from the Constituent Assembly NA-225 (Badin-cum-Tando Muhammad Khan-II) in the 2008 Pakistani general election. He received 88,983 votes and defeated PML-Q candidate Bibi Yasmin Shah. In March 2008, she was elected as the 18th and the first female speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He received 249 votes and defeated his rival Muhammad Israr Tauren who secured 70 votes. In the 2013 general election, she was re-elected to the National Assembly as a PPP candidate from the Constituent Assembly (Badin-cum-Tando Muhammad Khan-II). He got 110,738 votes and defeated Pakistan Muslim League (FML) (PML-F) candidate Bibi Yasmin Shah.

In June 2018, both Mirza and her husband Zulfikar Mirza were declared loan defaulters by the State Bank of Pakistan. It was noted that the couple used political influence to obtain millions of loans from various banks which were later written off. She was re-elected to the National Assembly as a GDA candidate from Constituent Assembly NA-230 (Badin-II) in the 2018 Pakistani general election. On August 18, Imran Khan formally announced his federal cabinet structure and Mirza was named as the minister for inter-province coordination. On 20 August 2018, he was sworn in as federal minister for inter-provincial coordination in Prime Minister Imran Khan's federal cabinet.
