Tourist Smart Card
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has started the sale of 'Tourist Smart Card' through dedicated counters at its selected metro stations from 4th September 2023. These smart cards, to be sold till September 13, have been launched for the convenience of the G20 delegates and international visitors who are interested in exploring the major tourist places of the capital city on their arrival in Delhi.
'Tourist Smart Cards' can be purchased from these dedicated counters at stations (list attached) which will be available in two categories - one-day validity and three-day validity cards, offering unlimited rides across the metro network. Tourist smart card with one day validity will be available for Rs 200, while the card with three days validity will be available for Rs 500. It also includes a refundable security deposit of Rs 50.
Apart from unlimited rides, these cards are very beneficial for tourists as they can travel seamlessly across the network from the first train to the last train service available for the day. No penalty/surcharge is levied on Tourist Smart Card due to issues like entry/exit mismatch, overstay in the system, overstepping etc. However, this card will not work on the Airport Express Line.
