India got 36 Rafale fighter jets on 15 December 2022. The Air Force said that after taking off from France, the tanker aircraft of the UAE Air Force refueled Rafale in the air. These aircraft landed in India after flying about eight thousand kilometers. India and France had signed an inter-governmental agreement in 2016, under which Paris agreed to provide 36 Rafale fighter jets to India at a cost of around Rs 60,000 crore. The first batch of five Rafale jets arrived on July 29, 2020.
