Information about the Italian Open

The 2023 Italian Open is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Foro Italico in Rome, Italy. This time it was the 80th edition of the Italian Open and it was classified as an ATP Tour Masters 1000 event on the 2023 ATP Tour and a WTA 1000 event on the 2023 WTA Tour which was non-compulsory but was upgraded from 900 to 1,000 points . This was the first year that the tournament was expanded to two weeks and the men's and women's singles draws were expanded to 96 players.

Italian Open 2023 Men's Singles

Daniil Medvedev won the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Italian Open by defeating Holger Roon 7–5, 7–5 in the final. It was his fifth title of 2023, sixth career Masters 1000 title (second in 2023) and first ATP Tour title on clay. Before 2023, Medvedev had never won a match in the Italian Open in the last three matches.
Novak Djokovic was the defending champion, but lost to Rooney in the quarterfinals. Since Rafael Nadal withdrew before the tournament began, for the first time since 2004, neither Djokovic nor Nadal participated in the Rome final. Playing his second round match, Carlos Alcaraz reclaimed the ATP No. 1 singles ranking from Djokovic.

Italian Open 2023 Women's Singles

Elena Rybakina won the women's singles title of Italian Open tennis tournament. Elena defeated Anhelina Kalinina 6-4, 1-0 (retired). Wimbledon champion Rybakina won the title after Ukraine's Anhelina Kalinina retired early in the second set with a left thigh injury.
