Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the first 'National Creator Awards' 2024 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on 8 March 2024. In the program organized at Bharat Mandapam, storyteller Jaya Kishori was given the award for the best writer for social change.
About National Creator Awards
National Creator Awards was launched by the Government of India to empower online creators who inspire people and deliver positive content. Millions of digital creators on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X and other platforms create positive content on social media and inspire others. The Government of India started this award to honor and empower such creators.
For the first time, the National Creator Awards 2024 ceremony was held at Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in Delhi and 23 creators were honored with the award.
Selection process of National Creator Award 2024
To select nominations for the National Creators Awards 2024, the Government of India invited names by opening the nomination window in the Innovate India website between 10 to 29 February 2024. During this period, more than 1.5 lakh nominations were filed from all over India. Voting started in the later stages and around 10 lakh votes were cast, based on which the creators were honored in various categories. It was a great process and the Indian youth participated enthusiastically in the event to make their favorite creators victorious.
