Burj Khalifa Overview

Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, is located in Dubai, which is visited by tourists from all over the world. Dubai is one of the richest and most advanced cities in the world. Apart from the World's Tallest Building in Dubai, Dubai Mall, situated in the middle of the desert, is the largest mall in the world. There are about 1200 shops present here. Crores of people come every year to visit this mall.

Burj Khalifa History

It took about 6 years to build this building. Its construction was started by Adrian Smith on September 21, 2004 and was completed on January 4, 2010. Located in downtown Dubai, this building was opened to the general public in the year 201

When this building was built, it was named Burj Dubai, but the UAE, which financed the building, was given the name. The building was renamed Burj Khalifa from Burj Dubai at the time of its inauguration in honor of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United States.

  1. The Tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, located in Dubai, has a height of 828 meters (2,716.5 ft). Which is almost three times that of the Eiffel Tower.
  2. About $ 8 billion was spent to build this magnificent building built in 6 years.

  4. It took the concrete equivalent of 100,000 elephants and the aluminum equivalent of five A380 airplanes to build this building.

  6. 3 tower cranes were used in its construction and each crane was capable of lifting a weight of 25 tons.
  7. The exterior cladding of the building is made of 26000 glass panels. 300 cladding specialists were specially called from China for the glaze.
  8. This grand building has a total of 163 storeys, in which there are 58 lifts, 2957 parking spaces, 304 hotels and 900 rooms.
  9. This Building can accommodate about 35,000 people at a time.
  10. This Building has 6 world records to its name, including the tallest freestanding building in the world, the fastest and longest elevator, the Tallest mosque, the tallest swimming pool, the highest floor and the Tallest restaurant, etc.

  12. The "At the Top" outdoor observation deck, located on its 124th floor, was opened on 5 January 2010, making it the second largest outdoor observation deck in the world. Which is located at 452 meters (1,483 ft).
  13. The elevator of this building runs at a speed of 65 kilometers per hour.
  14. Every day 946,000 liters of water is supplied to this huge building with the help of 100 kilometers of pipe.
  15. The World's highest swimming pool is on its 76th floor and a restaurant is also built on the 122nd floor.
  16. The world's tallest mosque is present on its 158th floor and the world's highest nightclub has been built on the 144th floor.
  17. It consists of 37 office storeys and 900 rooms.
  18. This building is surrounded by a man-made lake from all sides, which further enhances its beauty.
  19. In this building, a helipad of 210 meters height and 25 meters width has also been made from the ground, on which the helicopter is landed.
