The world-renowned National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has selected space flight company SpaceX to launch its SPHEREx mission. With the aid of this mission, NASA aims to conduct near-infrared spectra around 450 million galaxies throughout the universe and a celestial survey measuring 100 million stars inside our Milky Way Galaxy. It will be launched into space in June 2024 on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

Pengong Lake or Pengong Tso is located in the Indo-China border region in Ladakh. It is 134 kilometers long, situated at an altitude of 4350 meters and extends from Ladakh to Tibet. The Indian Navy has signed a contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the purchase of Light Amplification through rapid induction of Radiation Dazzlers (Stimulated Emission of Radiation Dazzlers).
