The first such event was the Cotswold Games or "Cotswold Olympic Games", an annual meeting near Chipping Campden, England, which included a variety of sports. It was first held by lawyer Robert Dover between 1612 and 1624, with many of the latter's ceremonies dating to the present day.
Olympic Movement:
The Olympic Movement is led by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), guided by the philosophy of the Olympics, which strives to promote world peace and the betterment of society.
