Doha Diamond League 2023

The 2023 Diamond League is the fourteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings organized by World Athletics. Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra won the Doha Diamond League 2023 with a throw of 88.67m. It was Neeraj Chopra's first throw of 88.67 which proved to be a big win to start the new season. His first throw was enough to seal the win for him but he still tried to move on. Chopra cleared a distance of 86.04m to finish ahead of Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Jakub Wadlejic and world champion Andersen Peters, whose best effort was 85.88m. The Czech player beat Andersen Peters to grab the second spot. Whereas Neeraj fouled in his fourth attempt.

Information about Neeraj Chopra

Neeraj Chopra was born on 24 December 1997. He is a track and field athlete from India. He is the current Olympic champion, silver medalist in the World Championship and Diamond League champion in javelin throw. He is the first Asian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in men's javelin throw. A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army, Chopra is the first track and field athlete to win a gold medal for India at the Olympics. He is one of only two Indians to win an individual Olympic gold medal (the other being Abhinav Bindra), as well as the youngest Indian Olympic gold medalist in an individual event, and the only person to win an individual gold medal.
