On May 16, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over job appointment letters to 71 thousand youth in government departments. He addressed these new employees at the job fair organized through video conferencing. The 5th Rozgar Mela was organized at 45 centers in 22 states. The appointments made so far in the Melas include Central Armed Police Force Personnel, Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Constable, Clerk, Stenographer, Personal Assistant, Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Junior Engineer, Loco Pilot, Technician, Postal Assistant, Assistant Professor, teachers and librarians etc.

The Rozgar Mela is a beginning towards fulfilling the Prime Minister's commitment to give top priority to employment generation. It is a recruitment drive in which more than 10 lakh youth are provided with various jobs for various job posts. This employment is for youth in the age group of 18-29 years.

How to get employment in the Rozgar Mela :-
- Rozgar Mela are usually held in large assembly halls with one booth for each employer.
- In front of each booth is a table displaying company brochures and information. Typically, several company representatives work each booth, standing behind tables and talking to job seekers.
- Some companies decorate their booths with banners and signs. Job fairs range in size from 5 to 100 employers with many hundreds of job seekers.
- Smaller job fairs can also be busy events, with job seekers queuing to see company representatives.
