Hima Das (हिमा दास)

Hima Das is an Indian runner. She is the first Indian woman player to win a gold medal in the 400 meters race of the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championship. Hima won the gold medal in the 400 meter race with a time of 51.46 seconds. Those are also known as "Dhing Express". Recently he won the gold medal in the Inter-State Championships held in Guwahati. Hima Das started her interest in sports by playing football with boys during her school days. But this did not happen then he started running on the advice of Shamshul Haq, the physical teacher of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Shamshul Haq identified him with Gauri Shankar Roy of Nagaon Sports Association. Then Hima Das was selected in the district level competition and also won two gold medals.

In April 2018, Hima Das finished sixth in 51.32 seconds in the 400 meters of the Commonwealth Games played on the Gold Coast. And he finished seventh in the 4X400 meter event. The 19-year-old Hima completed the women's 200m race in 23.25 seconds during the "Tabor Athletics Meet" held in the Czech Republic on Wednesday, 17 July 2019, again winning the fourth gold medal. During this time Hima had reached very close to her record (23.10 seconds) but she could not break it. Hima won the 400-meter race in 52.09 seconds in the Czech Republic itself on Saturday 20 July 2019. This is Hima's fifth gold medal received Hima within just 19 days in July of 2019.

On 25 September 2018, was conferred with the Arjuna Award by the President of India. Das was called Kaun Banega Crorepati on 1 November 2019 by actor Amitabh Bachchan in India's famous TV reality-show.
