Saifuddin Kitchlew was an Indian freedom fighter, lawyer, and Indian nationalist Muslim leader. An Indian National Congress politician, he first became the head of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and later in 1924 became the general secretary of the AICC.

Dr. Saifuddin Kitchlew was born on 15 January 1888 in a Kashmiri Muslim family in Amritsar, Punjab. His father's name was Azizuddin Kitchlew and his mother's name was Dan Bibi. His father traded a pashmina and saffron.

After the implementation of the Rowlatt Act in March 1919, he was best remembered for the protests in Punjab.
A colony in Ludhiana, Punjab, called Kichlu Nagar, is named after him. The Indian Post issued him a special commemorative postage stamp in 1989. Jamia Milia Islamia made Saifuddin Kichlu Chair in 2009 at MMAJ Academy of Third World Studies.
