List of substances, chemical names, formulas and branches of chemistry:

Chemistry:

Chemistry is a major branch of science, under which the properties, composition, structure and changes occurring in substances are studied. It is believed that chemistry was first developed in the country of Egypt. In ancient times, the Egyptians knew the methods of making glass, soap, dyes and other chemical substances and during this period Egypt was called alchemy. Chemistry, which is called 'chemistry' in English, originated from the black soil found in Egypt. The people there used to call it Kemi. Initially the study of chemistry was called chemiteching.

Under chemistry, the study of the composition of matter and the structure of its very fine particles. Apart from this, the study of the properties of matter, the laws of interaction between substances, the effect of energy on matter, heat etc., synthesis of compounds, separation of simple and pure substances from complex and mixed substances, etc. is also studied under chemistry. There are mainly two branches of chemistry-

  • Inorganic Chemistry: Under this, all inorganic elements and their compounds are studied.
  • Organic Chemistry: Under this, the compounds of carbon are studied.

To make the study of chemistry easier, it has been divided into many branches, in which the following are the main ones-

  • Physical Chemistry: Under this, the laws and principles of chemical reactions are studied.
  • Industrial Chemistry: In this, the rules, reactions, methods, etc., related to the manufacture of substances in large quantities are studied.
  • Biochemistry: Under this, the chemical reactions occurring in living organisms and substances obtained from animals and plants are studied.
  • Agricultural Chemistry: Under this, chemicals related to agriculture such as bactericidal, soil composition etc. are studied.
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Under this, the drugs used in human use, their composition and methods of making them are studied.
  • Analytical Chemistry: In this, the identity, volume and quantity of different substances are estimated.

Silver iodide is an inorganic compound that is used to produce artificial rain.

Silver bromide breaks down into silver and bromine in the presence of sunlight. White silver chloride also behaves in the same way. The above reactions are used in black and white photography.

Sodium hydroxide is a high degree of alkali having the chemical formula NaOH. It is also called caustic soda.

If distance is in meter, mass is in kg, and force is in newton, then the SI unit of universal gravitation constant is newton-m2/kg2. Hence, the dimensional formula of gravitational constant is [M-1L3T-2].
