History of Politics and Political Studies:

Political science has a long history. It originated in the ancient period of Greece, when there were small towns of the Greek state. City states were called polis in Greek. In Greek, the word polis actually refers to a place that was occupied by the Athens Greeks about 2600 years ago for a mountain fortification, which is very high above the city of Athens, and to this day the location of the Acropolis (Acropolis). , which means hill fort.

In ancient times, the Greek inhabitants of Athens repaired the site of a hill fort or fortress from time to time, when the inhabitants of the city of Athens would sit on the site and judge the problems of Athen's kingdom. In other words, the Acropolis was "the main place for the direct state government of the city of Athens to decide." From the name of that place 'Polis' simply means 'City Raj'. And at present it is often said that the word politics or political science is derived from the Greek word 'polis'. The subject which is today called Political Science or Politics was called 'Politics' in ancient times.

The word politics is derived from the Greek word polis. The Greek philosopher Aristotle named his world famous book Politics. Over time, there have been some changes in the name of the subject of the multilateral study of the state, and eventually most authors named the subject political science.
