Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan was a great politician who participated in the freedom struggle of India. Was the pioneer of the 'Independent Pakhtistan "movement struggling for independence from the British Government. Abdul Ghaffar Khan was a political and spiritual leader known for his non-violent movement like Mahatma Gandhi. His goal was to create a united, independent and secular India. For this, he founded an organization called Khudai Khidmatgar in 1930. And this organization is also known as "Surkh Posh" (or Lal Kurti Dal).
During the movement against Rowlatt Act in the year 1919, Ghaffar Khan met Gandhi and he entered politics. The following year he joined the Khilafat Movement. When the British imposed "military law" (martial law) in Peshawar in the year 1919. Then Abdul Ghaffar Khan proposed peace to the British, yet he was arrested. In 1930, he was again on Satyagraha. He was sent to jail and was transferred to a jail in Gujarat. After coming there, he was introduced to other Rajbandis of Punjab. In prison he read the texts of Sikh Gurus and studied the Gita. He considered Gila and Quran status in the jail jail of Gujarat, where qualified Sanskritists and clerics used to run the respective positions. Other prisoners were also impressed by his association and studied all the texts like Gita, Quran and Granth Sahab.
After being released from jail in 1934, both brothers started living in Wardha. And meanwhile he toured the whole country. According to the determination of the Congress, in 1939 AD, when the provincial councils were empowered, the Congress cabinet was formed under the leadership of his brother Dr. Khan in the frontier also, but he himself remained away from it and served the public. He was arrested in connection with the August Movement of 1942 AD and was released in 1947 AD. In the year 1921, he was elected District President of the Khilafat Committee in his home state of North West Frontier Province. At one time, their goal was a united, independent and secular India.
