Names and fields of Padma Awards 2015 winners:

The Central Government has announced the Padma awards on January 25, a day before the 66th Republic Day celebrations. This year the President has approved Padma awards to 104 persons including senior BJP leader and MP LK Advani and noted actor Amitabh Bachchan. The list includes the names of 09 Padma Vibhushan, 20 Padma Bhushan and 75 Padma Shri awardees. This honor is conferred by the President in a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, usually in March or April, every year. Among the recipients of this year's Padma Awards, 17 are women. Four people have been given this honor posthumously. The list also includes 17 foreigners, non-resident Indians and people of Indian origin.
