Madan Lal Dhingra - Members of Abhinav India ()
Madan Lal Dhingra was a great revolutionary of the Indian freedom struggle. The name of "Amar Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra" is worthy of being written in goldsmiths in the same great knights, how many of the warriors of Mother India had given up their lives to create an independent India.
Madan Lal was particularly troubled by India's poverty. He studied the literature in detail about the causes of Indian poverty and famine and realized that the key issues to address these problems are Swaraj (self-governance) and Swadeshi. He found that the industrial and finance policies of the colonial government were made in favor of suppressing local industry and procuring British imports, which he felt was a major reason for the lack of economic development in India. Dhingra particularly adopted the Swadeshi movement, which was about encouraging Indian industry and entrepreneurship while boycotting British (and other foreign) goods. This was the first political murder committed by an Indian in Britain by Madan Lal.
He gave the slogan - "The worship of the country is the worship of Rama." In 1904, as a student in the Master of Arts program, Dhingra led a student protest against the order of the principal, a college blazer made of cloth imported from Britain. He was expelled from the college for this. Thus, after his expulsion, Dhingra worked as a clerk at Kalka at the bottom of the Shimla hills, in a firm that ran tonga carriages to take British families to Shimla for the summer months. After being sacked for the rebellion, he worked as a factory laborer. Here, he attempted to organize a union, but was sacked for trying. He moved to Bombay and worked in lower level jobs there for some time.
By now, his family was seriously worried about him. On the evening of 1 July 1909, Dhingra, along with a large number of Indians and British gathered to attend the annual "At Home" ceremony organized by the Indian National Association at the Imperial Institute. Had happened.
