World Population Day History

Every year on 11th July a great event is celebrated all over the world as World Population Day. It is celebrated all over the world to increase the awareness of the people towards the population issue. It was first started in 1989 by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme. Due to the interests of the people, it was carried forward when the global population reached around 5 billion (billion) on 11 July 1987.

• It is Celebrated for the protection and empowerment of both the boy and the girl.
• Withholding marriage and giving full sexuality information until you are able to fully understand your responsibilities.
• Youth should be educated to avoid unwanted pregnancy through rational and youth adaptation measures.
• Educating people to remove gender stereotypes from the society.
• Educate people about the dangers of becoming a premature mother.
• To avoid various infections, they should be told about the diseases spread through sexual relations.
• There should be a demand for some effective laws and policies to protect the rights of girls.
• Boys and girls should have equal access to primary education.
• Have easy access to universal access to reproductive health care as part of primary health for every couple.
