74th Republic Day

Republic Day is a national festival of India which is celebrated every year on 26 January. This year in 2023, India's 74th Republic Day was celebrated. The chief guest of the event is the President of Egypt, Abled Fatah el-Sisi. On this day in 1950, the Constitution of India was implemented by removing the Government of India Act (1935). On January 26 this year, the President of India Draupadi Murmu unfurled the tricolor. After this, a grand parade was organized on the duty path. A total of 23 tableaux were taken out in the parade to be held, in which the main theme of the tableau of the Indian Navy is 'Deployment of women power at sea'.

This year, Egyptian President Abdal Fatah el-Sisi attended the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest.
President Draupadi Murmu hosted an 'At Home' reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Republic Day.

On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day parade, 45 aircraft of the Indian Air Force, one of the Indian Navy and four helicopters of the Indian Army performed amazing stunts in the sky.
On the occasion of Republic Day, a cultural presentation was given by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Culture on the path of duty. The presentation focused on women power.

Awarded Fire Service Medal:-

On the occasion of Republic Day, 47 personnel were awarded the President's Fire Service Medal for Distinguished Service.
Of these, Firdaus Ahmad Khan and Bashir Ahmad Ahangar from Jammu and Kashmir were awarded the Fire Service Medal for Gallantry.
President's Home Guard and Civil Defense Medals were awarded to 55 personnel for distinguished and distinguished services.
The President's Fire Service Medal for Distinguished Service is awarded to seven personnel and the Fire Service Medal for Subsequent Service is awarded to 38 personnel for their record of distinguished and meritorious service.
