Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train 2023
Realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision to showcase India's rich cultural heritage and spectacular historical sites to the people of India and the world, Indian Railways launched its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. Titled 'Shri Ram-Janki Yatra: Ayodhya to Janakpur', the yatra will start from Delhi on 17 February 2023 and cover several other important sites like Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Kashi and Prayagraj.
This train is about to start a very special journey till Janakpur which includes Ayodhya and Janakpur, the two most important pilgrimage sites in the neighboring countries of India and Nepal. This tourist train will start from New Delhi and this initiative will strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and also promote cultural ties between the two countries.
- Its first objective is to reinvigorate the ties between India and Nepal and to promote cultural ties between the two countries.
- This train will be operated by Railway PSU.
- This tourist train can carry 156 passengers and will have 4 first AC coaches, 2 passenger AC coaches, driver pantry car and two rail restaurants.
- The Bharat Gaurav train was run with the theme 'Dekho Apna Desh'.
Train facilities:
The state of the art Deluxe AC tourist train will have two fine dining restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles in coaches, sensor based washroom function, foot massagers and many better features. The fully air-conditioned train will have two types of coaches. One 1st AC and the other 2nd AC. Security features of CCTV cameras and security guards have been enhanced for each coach in the train and infotainment system has also been installed in the entire train.
