The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Microsoft on Thursday announced a collaboration to promote the development of space technology startups in the country. Space tech startups identified by ISRO through this tie-up will be on-boarded on Microsoft's platform for Founders Hub, which supports startups at every stage of their journey – from idea to unicorn.

  • Through this collaboration, ISRO will on-board the laggard space tech protectors on the 'Microsoft for Researchers Founders Hub' platform.
  • It supports every step of their journey from platform to unicorn.
  • This collaboration will greatly impact the return of space technology in analysis and analysis of large amounts of satellite data for individual sats using methods such as routers, machine learning and deep learning.
  • Microsoft will support the pursuit of space tech, spanning a variety of areas from space engineering to cloud technology, product and design, fixed and sales and marketing.
