International Dance Day Brief
Every year on 29 April, 'International Dance Day' is celebrated around the world. International Dance Day started on 29 April 1982. The International Dance Committee of the International Theater Institute of UNESCO established 29 April as Dance Day. This day is celebrated as International Dance Day to commemorate the birth of a great reformer Jean-Georges Navarre.
International Dance Day Objective
The Purpose of celebrating International Dance Day all over the world was to create awareness among the general public about the importance of dance. At the same time, the attention of the people was to be attracted towards this on the world level. Due to which awareness about dance was spread among the people. At the same time, the government had to provide dance a proper place in all the systems of education all over the world.
In 2005, Dance Day was focused as a primary education. Many essays and pictures on dance were also made by the children in the schools. In 2007 the dance was dedicated to children.

Who was the origin of dance?
It is said that in Tretayuga 2000 years ago, Brahmaji prepared the Nritya Veda on the request of the gods, since then the origin of dance is believed to be in the world. Many things from Samveda, Atharvaveda, Yajurveda and Rigveda were included in this dance Veda. When the composition of the Nritya Veda was completed, the practice of dancing was done by the hundred sons of Bharatmuni.
Most Famous Dances in India:
Kathakali: Kathakali dance originated in the state of Kerala in the 17th century. In this dance, a story is depicted with attractive costumes, gestures, and physical movements. In this dance, the artist is dressed in dark-colored makeup, so that the expression on his face can be clearly visible.
Mohiniyattam: Mohiniyattam dance depicts the artist's love and devotion toward God. In this, the dancer dances in a white sari with a golden border, along with heavy jewelry. Simple makeup is done in it.
Odissi: This major dance form of the state of Orissa is a show of love and devotion toward Lord Krishna. In this dance there is free movement of the head, chest and pelvis. Its image is visible in the Udayagiri hills of Bhubaneswar. The artifacts of this dance have been made at Puri and Sun Temple Konark, the temple of Lord Jagannath built in Orissa.
Kathak: This dance originated in Uttar Pradesh, in which the Natvari style of Radhakrishna is displayed. Kathak derives its name from the Sanskrit words story and story. After the arrival of the Mughal Raj, when this dance started being performed in the Muslim court, entertainment became dominant on this dance.
Bharatanatyam: This classical dance is from the state of Tamil Nadu. In the olden times, this dance was performed mainly by the dancers in the temples. who was called devadasis? This traditional dance is known for kindness, purity, and tenderness. This traditional dance is considered popular all over the world.
Kuchipudi: This dance form of Andhra Pradesh state is also known as Lord Mela Natakam. In the song in this dance, the mood of the character starts with a play. It mainly uses Carnatic music. Along with this, there is the accompaniment of violin, mridangam, and flute. The ornaments 'Berugu' worn by the artists are made of very light wood.
Manipuri: This dance form of the Manipuri state is one of the classical dance forms. The style of this dance is called Jogai. In ancient times, this dance has been given the name of the planets revolving around the Sun. At one time when Lord Krishna, Radha and the Gopis were performing Raslila, Lord Shiva had banned anyone from going there, but on the wish of Mother Parvati, Lord Shiva performed this dance in Manipur.
