Indian army:

In terms of numbers, the Indian Army ranks fourth in the world. The Chief of the Army Staff controls the administrative and strategic operations of the Indian Army. The army is mostly considered to be the army, it is also right because the army has the first and main place in the defense line. At present, about 13 lakh soldiers and civilians are working in different positions in the army, while in 1948 there were about 2,00,000 soldiers in the army. The headquarters of the Army is in New Delhi.

The Chief of Army Staff is assisted by the Vice Chief of the Army Staff and the Chief of Staff. These include the Deputy Chief of Army Staff, the Adjutant-General, the Quartermaster-General, the Master-General of the Ordnance, and the Army Secretary and Engineer-in-Chief.

The Army is organized into 7 commands:-

The South Western Command was formed on 15 April 2005. Its headquarter has been established in Jaipur. It is the largest command of the Army.
