International Youth Day History
Accepting the recommendations made by the United Nations General Assembly on 17 December 1999 during the Youth World Conference, 54/120 resolution was passed and it was declared to celebrate 12 August every year as International Youth Day. For the first time in the year 2000, the organization of International Youth Day was started.
International Youth Day Objective
International Youth Day aims to ensure the leading role of young people in achieving the goals of poverty alleviation and sustainable development. Sustainable consumption includes products and services that are important in meeting basic needs.
