List of players honored with BCCI Awards 2017

BCCI Awards Ceremony 2017:

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli was honored with the prestigious "Pali Umrigar Award" for the 'International Cricketer of the Year' at the BCCI Awards ceremony 2017 organized by the BCCI on March 8, while all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin was awarded the 'Best in Bilateral Series'. Awarded "Dilip Sardesai Award" for 'Performance'. Kohli has been selected for this award for the third time after the years 2011-12 and 2014-15. Virat Kohli was India's top scorer in all three formats of the game. Virat Kohli is the first player to win this award for the third time. Ravichandran Ashwin has also become the first cricketer to receive the Dilip Sardesai Award for the second time. Apart from him, many legends and players who have performed well in the domestic season were also included in these awards.

Following is the list of players honored by BCCI:

  • Col CK Naidu Life Time Achievement Award: Rajindra Goel, Padmakar Shivalkar.
  • BCCI Women's Lifetime Achievement Award: Shantha Rangaswamy (First Indian woman player to receive Lifetime Achievement Award).
  • BCCI Special Award: VV Kumar, Ramakant Desai.
  • Polly Umrigar Award: Virat Kohli (the first player to win this award for the third time).
  • Dilip Sardesai Award (For Best Indian Cricketer in West Indies Series 2016): Ravichandran Ashwin (First player to receive this award for the second time).
  • Lala Amarnath Award (for the best all-rounder in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy): Jalaj Saxena, Madhya Pradesh.
  • Lala Amarnath Award (for domestic limited overs competition): Axar Patel, Gujarat.
  • Madhavrao Scindia Award (for the highest run-scorer in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy): Shreyas Iyer, Mumbai.
  • Madhavrao Scindia Award (for the highest wicket-taker in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy): Shahbaz Nadeem, Jharkhand.
  • MA Chidambaram Trophy (for highest scorer in Col CK Naidu Under 23 Trophy 2015-16): Jay Bist, Mumbai.
  • MA Chidambaram Trophy (for highest wicket-taker in Col CK Naidu Under 23 Trophy 2015-16): Satyajit Bachhao, Maharashtra.
  • NKP Salvi Award (For Highest Scorer in Under 19 Cooch Behar Trophy 2015-16): Armaan Jaffer, Mumbai.
