The Chief Minister of Rajasthan is the chief executive of the Indian state of Rajasthan. According to the Constitution of India, the Governor is the legal head of the state, but actual executive authority rests with the Chief Minister. After elections to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, the Governor of the state usually invites the party with a majority to form the government. The Governor appoints the Chief Minister, whose Council of Ministers is collectively responsible to the Legislative Assembly.

Ashok Gehlot is an Indian politician serving as the 15th and current Chief Minister of Rajasthan since 2018. Gehlot, who entered politics in 1980, has also been a Union Minister three times. He was elected to the 7th Lok Sabha (1980–84) for the first time in the year 1980 from Jodhpur parliamentary constituency. He represented Jodhpur parliamentary constituency in the 8th Lok Sabha (1984–1989), 10th Lok Sabha (1991–96), 11th Lok Sabha (1996–98) and 12th Lok Sabha (1998–1999). He is a person who has not lost any election.
He represents the Sardarpura constituency of Jodhpur as a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly since 1999. He was the Lok Sabha MP from Jodhpur from 1991 to 1999 and 1980 to 1989, and the Union Minister of State for Textiles from 1991 to 1993. Gehlot was the Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation from 1993 to 1984 and Deputy Union Sports Minister from 1984 to 1984. Gehlot was the Chief Minister of the state from 1998 to 2003 and from 2008 to 2013. He has also been in charge of organizations and training from March 2018 to 23 January 2019.

Since the formation of Rajasthan state on March 30, 1949, 13 people have held the post of Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The first Chief Minister of Rajasthan was Hira Lal Shastri. Vasundhara Raje Scindia is the only woman to serve as the Chief Minister of a state and held the position for a full 5 years. Mohan Lal Sukhadia is the longest serving Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Presently Ashok Gehlot is the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. He has been in office since December 17, 2018 and has been appointed Chief Minister of the state for the third time.
