Mountain Day refers to three separate and unrelated events: (1) Mountain Day, a student celebration at some colleges in the United States in which classes are canceled without prior notice, and student bodies in the mountains or a park. (2) International Mountain Day, held on 11 December each year, which was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2003 to encourage sustainable development in the mountains, and (3) Mountain Day, 2016. As a national holiday in Japan.

What is a Mountain called?

A mountain or mountain is a naturally raised part of the earth's surface, which is usually raised by accident and is larger than a hill. Mountains are mostly in a continuous group. There are 4 types of mountains:

• Residual mountain

• Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world. Mountains cover about 22 percent of the entire Earth's surface and are home to 915 million people around the world (13% of the world's population).
• A large part of North India is surrounded by mountains. In Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, there are more mountains than plains. Due to unemployment, a large number of people are still migrating from these hilly areas to the plains.
• Mountains are reservoirs of water. 70% of the population receives drinking water in some way or the other from the rivers originating from the mountains. Mountains also play an important role in the storage of underground water.
• International researchers said that in the Hindu Kush, a mountain range of the Himalayas, the temperature may increase by one to two degrees in the next 35 years and in some places by four to five degrees. Researchers warn that too much rain will be less than previously thought, but the more it happens, the more lethal it.
